These thematic style opening videos are really helpful. I love how you clarified the rules on when to protect the bishop with the knight vs. the pawn.

Why has Alex Banzea got only 91k subscribers compared to Levy Rosman at Gotham Chess with 4 million or so? I don't understand. I get it, Levi is fun to watch and very knowledgeable but so is this guy. Listen to me now Alex, you can be as big as Levi. All you need to do is post more videos. Levi posts a new one at least a couple of times a week. That's all you need to do to catch up. You're just as knowledgeable and just as entertaining. Take my advice and you will be as big as, if not bigger than, Gotham Chess.

    I mated someone just yesterday using my caro-kann. I played Qa5 move which I thought was aggressive but the engine said Ba3 was better. I never seen that. e4 c6 d4 d5 Nc3 dxe4 Nxe4 Bf5 Ng3 Bg6 Nf3 Nd7 h4 h6 h5 Bh7 Bc4 e6 Bf4 Ngf6 Be2 Nd5 Bxd5 cxd5 000 Rc8 c3 Qa5 a3? Rxc3+ bxc3 Qxc3+ He resigned. He leaving my bishop alone and then castling into it didn't make sense. Don't know why he went Bc4 for? Should have known e6 was taking place.

re 16:00 "step on the gas" , what about the horse on C3 taking the black pawn on D5 instead of the white pawn doing it... similar unfold but more forced. & the black pawn remains on b4, a better umbrella at a distance than up close perhaps?
